Terms of Service
By using Stax ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. Plain English version: don't abuse the service, we'll try not to break it, and neither of us makes any promises we can't keep.
1. Who we are
Stax is operated by Stax, Inc., a Georgia, USA business. Contact: [email protected].
2. The waitlist
Joining the waitlist doesn't guarantee access. We grant access in batches at our discretion. Founding-member pricing (where mentioned) applies only to accounts created during the initial access window and only while it's actively offered.
3. Your account (when launched)
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You're responsible for the API keys and OAuth tokens you connect to Stax. We protect them, but you grant them to us — make sure you have authority to do so.
- One account per individual. Workspaces can have multiple users.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use Stax to:
- Break any law.
- Reverse-engineer the Service or scrape it programmatically.
- Resell access or sublicense the Service to third parties without written permission.
- Interfere with anyone else's use of the Service.
- Connect API keys you don't own or have explicit permission to use.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
5. Payment
Paid plans bill monthly via Stripe at the price shown at signup. Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled. You can cancel anytime — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are issued only at our discretion or as required by law.
6. Your data, your control
You own all data you connect or upload. We claim no ownership over your usage data, prompts (which we don't see anyway), or any content of your AI activity. You can export your data at any time. You can delete your account at any time, at which point we delete your data within 90 days.
7. Service availability
We aim for high uptime but make no formal SLA on the free plan. Pro and Team plans target 99.5% monthly uptime. If we miss it materially, contact us and we'll credit your account proportionally.
8. No warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that the usage figures we display match your provider's official invoices to the cent — they're as accurate as the provider's billing API allows. Always reconcile against the official provider invoice before making financial decisions.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
10. Changes to the Service or these terms
We may change pricing, features, or these terms. For paid users, material changes get 30 days' notice via email. For free/waitlist users, we'll update this page and note the change date at the top.
11. Termination
You can terminate by deleting your account or asking us to. We can terminate accounts that violate Section 4 or for non-payment. We'll give you reasonable notice and the chance to export your data unless the violation is severe.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Hall County, Georgia, unless required otherwise by your local consumer-protection laws.
